Guest guest
>I am having a problem finding the right medication to help with my very bad pain from a herniated disc (L-4/L-5). It happened in 1997, but was controlled by taking 1 or 2 10 mg Percocet 3 days a week. I have tried Oxycodone (10/320)-2 at a time and it helps the pain but I can only take it for one day. Hi Percocet, and oxycodone are the same medication. None of the problems you wrote about morphine are allergic reactions. The dosage was too high. Nausea, and sweats probably means that Vicodin upsets your stomach. This link gives information about what an allergic reaction is: http://tinyurl.com/ewmtm Kaylene >
Guest guest
Sounds like you need a pain management doctor. Since Oxycodone helps you might titer up to a dose that helps. You don't say how many oxycodone pills you took on the day you were taking two 10 mg at a time, but the way you felt makes me think it was too much medication too fast. You might do well on oxycontin which is the long lasting form. Maybe taking 10 mg of that every 12 hours at first and since you metabolize faster then taking one every 8 hours. Only a pain management doctor is going to work with you on medications to find what dose of which medication works best for you. If the doctor you are seeing is a pain doctor it might be better to find another who is willing to work with you in the right way. I just hate doctors who determine the dose and medication without any real concern for your opinion. It's like that doctor isn't allowing you to talk about your own body. You know it better than he does. Jennette Donna wrote: I am having a problem finding the right medication to help with my very bad pain from a herniated disc (L-4/L-5).
