Guest guest
My name is . I just wanted to agree with Cheryl 100%. I am on a high dose of Oxycontin 3 times a day for pain and no one can tell that I'm on it. It takes a few weeks to adjust but then things taper off. constipation is the only major problem that I have experienced with this and it is manageable several ways and well worth the extra effort to keep it under control. I can function again although it is limited but I don't have the severe pain now. I don't want to be completely pain free just so I don't overdo it and injure myself further but my pain is controlled to a tolerable level for me. Good Luck! -------Original Message------- >Hi, my name is JoAnn Unfortunately I cannot take most pain medications due to the fact thatmy autoimmune hepatitis has caused liver damage (Stage II). Morphine is allowed but I have to work (I'm the only breadwinner in our family), so I cannot use it.
Guest guest
Joanne, I am very confused and maybe someone else can help me understand this. to be dx with FIBRO (which is a disease of exclusion (btw this came out of my rheumy's mouth) you have to have normal labs. people that have RA (I do, along with crohns was originally incorrectly dx with fibro) have ABNORMAL blood work. This prohibits a dx of fibro. the only way it makes sense is if you were dx with fibro first. can someone explain this to me? My doc said that people with RA lupus etc have all the tender points as well but it is not fibro. Deb RN
