Guest guest
Hi , It does take time to get used to using the Tens unit but you should be able to adjust the unit so that you don't get a strong " shock " right off the bat. Most of the units I have seen have 1-4 adjusters on them My unit has 4 adjusters, I start off slow - like a 12, and after a few minutes can turn it up for maximum benefit to about 25-28. My unit also is a 2-Phase. The 1st phase is for pain, it runs 15 min., when my pain is at its worse I will do this part 3-4 times in a row. The 2nd phase is for muscles which lasts 45 min. After doing the pain cycle 3-4 times, by the time it works on the muscles I fall asleep - thank God it turns itself off. I do notice that my pain levels, while not going away, will diminish enough for me to move about for a little while at least. I hope you are able to start using your Tens unit on a regular basis and get some relief from the pain we all know too well. Happy Holidays Donna W.
