Guest guest
(((((Mist)))) Unfortunately there are rude individuals in every field. Medially an allergic reaction is described as a reaction which causes swelling in the mucus membranes to the extent that it causes respiratory distress and potential respiratory failure. Side effects potentially occur in all medications. Medications affect the body chemistry beyond their prescribed purpose. Sometimes the side effects are worse than the help the medication offers. I have stopped medications because of severe side effects. I specify which medications I will not take because they cause more problems than help. I have never had an allergic reaction to any med. So I list no known allergies. You should inform medical professional if you have taken medications that have caused severe side effects. It is your right to refuse a particular medication. It is the professional job to offer alternatives. I have dealt with nurses such as you describe. I just smile in their face and call them names in my head. Works for me lol seriously, don't let a rotten nurse get to you. You know your body better than anyone. there are good health care professional out there than understand that. If you feel that the nurse was out of line and unprofessional, you could make a complaint with the nursing supervisor. Most hospital take complaints seriously. Hope you're having a less stressful and low pain day. Gentle hugs, Tami ---Mist wrote: > I hate it when medical professionals treat you like a number. > Well we were going through my list of drugs that I am supposedly according to her allergic to. After going through each one she would say well you have the typical side effects to this or that drug not a true allergy.
