I only had one headache that I can remember and it wasn't a migraine either. , Heat causes increased blood flow and if blood vessels were constricted, it could have allowed them to expand and have blood flow resume normally. It is not a wierd idea and I use heat on my pain and my Doctor approves to increase the blood flow and discourages ice but whatever works for others and will not hurt them, I say do it.
