I am relatively new to this forum. I have come here seeking support and answers.

More support than anything else, but tonight I have a question.

During the last several weeks, I've noticed small to medium sized " lumps "

underneath my skin that radiate pain to the nearest joint.  I've have a nerve

conduction test on my arms and the results came back as " permanent nerve damage

with small findings of slight carpal tunnel " all in the right hand/arm. Now I'm

feeling these " lumps " in the left arm/hand as well and sometimes I get

" electrical type pain " on the bottoms of both feet. More right than left.

Yes, I have Fibro. I have had it since my early thirties. I'm now 50 and it's

only getting worse. I've also had 3 cervical neck surgeries in as many years.

The discs had blown and were impinging my spinal cord. It was basically have the

surgery or end up a quadriplegic.

I also have OA, IBS-C, Migraines, and chronic pain. I have been on opiates for

so many years my tolerance was becoming an issue.

So I have gone off all opiates and now I'm taking Suboxone. If you have never

heard of it, it is mainly used for opiate addiction.  However there are some

studies that would indicate it's use with chronic pain patients. No, I'm not a

drug addict, but the tolerance and dependency issues were really starting to

worry me.

So.... all that said (which was plenty - sorry for the " book " ), does anyone know

what these " lumps " are and why I have electrical " pain " on the bottoms of my

feet? These lumps, I thought at first, were actually ON the bone, but later

discovered that they are not on the bone but on the muscle. I can actually draw

an outline of them, I can feel them that close to the surface.

I'm sorry but this note/book must close. The sheer pain from typing this and

typing it correctly as I could has caused me extreme pain.  I thank those who

just read this. I thank those of you who take the time to answer me. I

appreciate it very much.

Here's to a pain(less) night!!!

Patty
