Do you have any thoughts about how your fusion failed? Did you have

cadaver graft? A dear friend has scheduled that same surgery march 10

and we are researching it now.

Anne,

I had my own bone graft there were some issues at the time with donor graft

getting infections.

Where are you located, you can contact me personally and I can give my opionions

about my

three level spinal fusion. I have some doctors I have found were good and the

recent Texas

Monthly top doctors.

I was told that fusions cannot really be told they are not fused unless you go

back in there and look as

I have had one doctor said it was not and three said it was and we believe from

the symptoms, it is.

I did go thru the rehab step down program and it helped so much as I went

immediately into physical therapy

and did well. This is a lumbar program

I had a three level fusion with my own biopsy of rt hip for donor. I went to

two opionions, and a third for information.

I had not discs left and my vertabrae were sitting one on top of the another and

I had to do what was good for me.

Ann, good luck with your friend, let us know how whe is doing. The cadaver

grant infor states it is okay.

I am curios where she is going and how she is doing since I live in Texas.
