Guest guest
Are you serious?!!? Neither one of them think that your pain should be adequately treated??? That just blows my mind. I resisted taking any medication for a long time and it was my therapist who sat me down at told me we needed to re-evaluate my condition and pain issues. She told me that she really thought pain management would improve my quality of life and my ability to function and she was SO RIGHT! I'm so glad I listened to her. Even though it took a long time after that to find a good pain specialist. Maybe after you get a definitive diagnosis they will think differently? I agree that you shouldn't just take whatever the doctor gives without testing and knowing what they cause is first but pain is pain. You'd think a therapist or psychiatrist would understand the psychological scarring that pain and more importantly the stigma of having to take the medication can do to a person! Of course, this is just my humble opinion. Good luck ! I hope you have a good weekend regardless. Caitlin i see a therapist and a psychiatrist, but they neither one agree with any type of pain management. the people who abuse them have made it so hard on those of us who really need them. i am just waiting to hear something from my doctor. my family doctor is not in on Fridays so looks like it will be a long weekend. t
