They messed up a biopsy last week and caused me to bleed and end up having

transfusions and a LOT of pain that would have been avoidable.

Hi Carolyn

I'm so sorry you have had such a hard time. If you bled that much from a liver

biopsy, the risks are far too high for you to let anyone give you any

injections. I'm guessing that you are talking about epidural injections.

Arachnoiditis is one permanent damage that can be caused by epidural injections.

I know we have at least one member with this problem.

Spine universe is an excellent website and reliable website about anything to do

with the spine.

The information in the link below is about epidural injections for childbirth,

but it's the same procedure.

I used to assist with these procedures, and the anesthesiologist would always

quickly gloss over the short term, or permanent problems that can occur. They

certainly never mentioned Arachnoiditis.

I hadn't even thought about the bleeding aspects. That is for sure a no go there.

My platelets are always under 100 even on a good spell.

I have had 6 of these and none of them helped me and when I read the risks

involved in taking them, I decided never again. The last one I had caused me

more pain than what I was taking them for.
