Guest guest
Bennie, I have a GF that had almost her whole spine fused, hers is from T1 to L5, so yes, they can do more than 3 levels at a time. The problem is that the more levels they do, the bigger chance of failure you have. Mine was cadaver bone, not my own bone, but I have the instrumentation and he opened me from the front and back. I can not carry anything! and I use a walker on bad days and a cane on good ones. It wasn't a good experience! :-( Millie >Bennie wrote to Millie: > This procedure like any on the spine puts pressure on the remaining vertabrae above and below. My neurosurgeon told me that the people who have the most problems are the ones that think they can go back out there and do heavy lifting etc but need to be very careful with their spine. I have tried but an auto accident put me down for a loop.
