Guest guest
Kathy, It sounds like a yeast infection. You can buy over the counter cream like Monistat and see if it helps. It is very common for overweight people to get yeast infections in skin folds. Take care, Bonnie
Guest guest
Kathy, I believe what you might have is candidasaisis (sp?) I was diagnosed with that a few years ago. If I leave it untreated, it gets real red and angry looking, a little itchy, but also painful. I use lotrimin cream, and it always works. Powders never do. You should go to your doctor for a diagnosis for your records, he'll prescribe something for you, and then he'll give you renewals as you need it. Hope you feel better, Debby in NY
Guest guest
Kathy, It sounds like a yeast or fungal infection. I also get that from time to time and my doctor recommended any type of anti fungal cream... Desenex, Lotrimin etc... I use it for a week and it clears up. I know what you mean about getting it posted in the records. Next time it shows up I will go to the doctor and request Nystatin. That was always very effective for my kids and it will make my insurance company pay for it!!!! Once they start paying regularly for rash creams they might be more than willing to cover my tummy tuck two years from now! What ever works! Good Luck, I am still holding you in my prayers! Good Bless, KathyT HELP From: thestewarts@... (Kathy ) Hi gang I know this is not completely related to WLS but I hope that someone here can understand and help.......it is embarrassing and God knows that this is the only place that I could say this,.... I have a terrible, rather large rash (about 3inches by 2 inches) in the crease between my thigh and my stomach.....(I guess this is the " apron " that everyone talks about!!!)....anyway, this rash is not very irritating, but it is super red and enlarged....more solid type rash than the prickly heat type that I normaly get..... I have tried Gold Bond and vaseline....what do you all think??? Has anyone else ever had to deal with this problem?????? I want to avoid going to the Doctor for this problem since it is in onew of those " hard to see " places....what should I do??? Also, would it be smart of me to go to the doctor in order to get documentation in case I ever get my WLS and then need a tummy tuck....I need your advice..... Thanks and love Kathy ---------------------------
Guest guest
I know there is a family who's child goes to school in Sedgewick. I believe it is a little boy. Maybe make a post that is in reference to Sedgewick, or Kansas. Then you would get a response. I can't remember persons name. I know a previous post caught my eye because I have a brother in law in Sedgewick. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi I was wondering my doctor wants to perform a hysteroultrasonogram to see if there is any scarring. Is this a sucessful way to find this out? I really want to make sure this doctor is doing all the right thing for me. Any info anyone has on this would be wonderful. Guest guest
This is a good start- when I went for one they couldn't even get through my cervix- and thus an answer. Guest guest
, I'm not sure if you are referring to a an " HSG " (this is called a hystosalpingogram - not sure of the spelling). If you are, that is what Dr. Valle, an A list doctor requires to diagnose scarring in the uterus. I hope this helps. Lee Ann
Guest guest
and All in the Group- I have not posted or asked any questions in the last few weeks for many reasons- depression is a big part. I too have a tremendous amount of pain with my recently diagnosed Ashermans. (It was some what comforting to see your post) My abdomen was/is consistently in pain. I too had blood backing up into my tubes/abdomen and about 1 month ago after my first HSG I got an infection- they finally had to open (puncture through) the covered cervix to drain me. Now, every month since Oct., I get all the symptoms to have a period never got one but since they opened me up- this past Friday the 3rd I started a gusher of a period- haven't seen one of those since last Oct.- My last HSG showed only ½ to ¼ of cavity open and because of the back up of blood I was having they say my tubes are dilated 4 to 5 times the size they are suppose to be- ( have they said anything about your tubes? ) they say that has to do with a lot of the pain I am having- Poly (and please shed some light) had mentioned to me/asked me about endometriosis- I also have a lot of pain during sex or a bowel movement- that is yet to be determined- I finally, as of Monday, have a copies of all my records and I am off next week to see Dr. March and a doctor by the name of Dr. Koopersmith (both experts in Ashermans)- my ob/gyn (who did the 2 D & C's) (I have had 2 D & C's-a myomectomy and a uterine infection this past year) thought that I should try and get pregnant because that would break up all the scar tissue (excuse my language- but what a FUCKING IDOIT)- I have a general questions for everyone- has anyone's sex drive diminished since all this began? Mine is nonexistence- I believe it to be from the pain. Y. Help
