Bulging, torn disc and Physical Therapy?

As I've mentioned here before, there are many morphine based medications which

have really bad side effects one me. Vicodin helps a very little. I had

problem with nausea with the Percocet, but after my Mom-in-law suggested taking

it with food it works great. However, my Pain Management doctor really doesn't

like me because of my many allergies to medication and won't work with me. I

just have percocet left over from late last year and I don't know if he'll

prescribe them for me instead of the Vicodin.

I've heard that physical therapy has worked wonders for many people. Since I

have a herniated disc at L-4,L-5 and it is torn, do you think it would make my

condition worse or should I try it????

By the way, I ordered my Sleep Number bed (I-8) and will be receiving it

Wednesday between 5 and 9 pm. My current bed is 14 years old and I wake up in

pain every morning. Guess what, though? I ordered it 2 weeks ago and I ordered

sheets with it. They left me a message this week that the sheets will not be

shipped until June 26th!!!! That's ridiculous.

Thanks for any and all suggestions. This is such a great group and I read the

digest every day.
