Guest guest
Hi all, Well when i thought things could not get much worse, I saw the news yesterday. Yep our clever government has done it yet again, penalized the people who need help medically and financially instead of finding a sensible reason and responsible to help us. I'm not sure if you get to hear the news that happens here in the UK for those who live in the USA or other parts of the world. It was announced yesterday that the budget deficit would come on to play and the main key areas to be affected are as follows. No free health care anymore (unless you are unable to pay). Or possible will not be brought in no one care afford it. No free prescriptions anymore, including pain medications which i think is wrong. Asthma meds would not be necessarily covered. More tax needs to be paid. For example higher council tax and car tax. They have upped the amount of time people work for the basic pain which is around £3.50-£5.30 we use to have to work an hour to get that we now have to work a minimum of 2 hours. I believe it is wrong to expect people to start paying for health care when we have had the National Health System for so long which has worked well. It is estimated that they need to save more then 70 million pounds which is a lot of £££££££££££££ by next year which i don;t think they can justify. They have also have changed the way we can apply for DLA (disability living allowance). We now have to go before a panel of doctors then, and only then, will tests be done to see if you need to be on DLA or not!!! It's upraw where I live. Because They are not bringing in insurance for medical either.
