I'm so sorry to hear that, Mist.

I went through the same thing. Before I got sick I would be out in my garden

all the time. I had the best garden!

Then, I got sick. The weeds invaded and some were even waist high. Once I had

to call the gardeners to come and just try to pull out all the weeds so the city

wouldn't fine me. That was painful.

1st watching my garden to an unkempt mess. The humiliation of it, and the

neighbors all talking about me and how I was taking down property values, and

then the $500 I had to pay to have things basically gutted.

Those gardeners didn't do the best job. They killed many of my proper plants,

herbs, etc. And, most of the weeds they so-called pulled, came right back up.

I think they just ripped the tops off.

At that time, I was seeing a pain management therapist who told me to see the

little things. When I went home, I saw one tiny flower from way under the

weeds, trying so hard to smile at me, and say it was going to be ok.

This was about 4 yrs ago.

Now, I wrote a month ago or so about my new situation. I couldn't and still

can't go out there like I used to. But, this time, I did things differently.

I had a small bucket. I took my bucket outside every day, not matter what, and

I told myself that I would fill the bucket with things that shouldn't be in my

yard. So, there I was, one bucket per day. I felt good that I was doing

something, but wasn't sure when I started how one tiny bucket was going to help

at all.

Well, I must say. It worked nicely in the end!

I pulled one bucket every day for 3 months, and then wow. I could finally see

my garden coming to life again.

This time, I pulled out all the grass, and put in landscape rocks. That's one

less thing to deal with. And I transplanted many of my ground plants into pots

that I had. That way they can stay away from mean weeds that want to choke

them.

These days I have a completely different garden. Not mother-nature like it used

to be, but now it's zen. It's still peaceful, just in a different way. I like

it, it still makes me happy.

I know you can find your garden again soon. I know it's looking for you, too!
