Hi. My doctor prescribes a " break through " medicine for me. Break through

indicates that my pain has passed through my normal dosage.

I can then take 1 or 2 if my break through pills, as prescribed by

my doctor.

I am on a 20 mg extended relief pill 3 times a day. So if I am having

a really tough day, I can add 1 or 2 of my breakthrough pills, which

is a 15 mg oxycodone.

A doctor should set this up for you, choosing the proper doses he deems right

for you.
