Hello, .

This is something that I have personally tried, but not something I am

suggesting anyone try. I'm just sharing my experience. ** Be sure to see the

links and read all the cautions and warnings before thinking about using or

using MSM**

Here is my story.

I was having some really awful foot pain to where I could not step on the foot

or walk properly, and walking incorrectly ended up causing me hip problems later

that I still suffer from.

Anyhow, one day I was at the equine feed store and I mentioned my foot pain to

the checker who I always seem to be chatting about something with. She knows

all about pain. She used to be a professional female rodeo rider. So we can

swap stories.

She suggested that maybe I should try MSM on my foot, that it is the only thing

that kept her going in her years as rodeo rider. She said the times she was

thrown from the animal, she would go to doctors and get medications, but nothing

worked. And someone turned her on to the MSM and once using it she was up and

walking around in no time with no swelling and no side effects for her.

Then. same day, I stopped by the dog rescue, to help the caretaker with some

chores and things and I mentioned my foot pain to her as well. She also made a

suggestion that I should try MSM for my pain. She said that she uses MSM for

her arthritis and back pain. I asked her where to get this MSM stuff, and she

said you can get it at feed stores. That it's not made for humans. It is

considered a solvent.

Well this was all news to me. Until that day, I had never heard of MSM before.

Then, all of the sudden here I am hearing about it twice in one day. So, I took

that to mean some kind of message to me to give it a try. I was desperate.

Both of the ladies, rodeo and dog rescue are healthy and active women. I

thought if it was good enough for them I had to give it a try.

So, on my way home from the dog rescue, I stopped again at the feed store, and

sure enough they sold MSM. They had a cream, a gel and a liquid. Both women

told me to use the liquid, to mix it with water 50/50, and apply. The also both

said to be very careful because wherever you apply the MSM, that it can cause

absorption of things in your environment that might not be so healthy, e.g. not

to use pesticides or something like that after using MSM.

I tried the MSM mixed with 50% water. It felt like nothing going on. It seemed

to feel a little warm to me, but the skin was not warm. I only used a little

because I was afraid of the warnings. The good news is that the MSM did work

for my pain. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it did make enough of a

difference that I did use it and I reported back to the two ladies about the

success. Neither one was too impressed, because they already knew that it

worked for them.

If anyone does decide to try the MSM, please let me know off or online. I'm

interested to know how it works for others, and with the different types of

pain. For me, it helped my joint stiffness, and muscle spasms.
