Guest guest
I have fibromyalgia plus chronic back pain. My pain has increased quite substantially so I went to my Doctor to get some more pain relief. He wouldn't give me anything due to the fact that I am on to much mediacation for pain already. He didn't want to put my kidneys at risk by giving me more. So I was left in agony with nothing to do.Does anyone have advice for these times. Thanks

So what kinds of medications are you on that could damage your kidneys, if not opiates? And why isn't he willing to prescribe opiates if he hasn't already? It sounds like nothing more than an excuse your doctor is using to avoid treating your pain appropriately. Either that or he doesn't know what he's talking about. My advice is find an accredited pain management doctor who can give you correct information and proper care. Cheryl in AZ Moderator
