Guest guest
Dear Adyli, I had moderate scarring. Thanks to the ladies here I saw an " A List " doctor Dr. Indman. After one operative hysteroscopy and two follow ups where he broke apart some new minor adhesions I have an open uterus and I am pregnant. I live in the San area and my ex ob/gyn recomemded a doctor who I saw. After meeting him I decided I wanted a second opinion. One of the members here recommended Dr. Indman. In one months time I was scar free! Try to see an A list doctor! Carol Swanson __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Dear Adyli, I agree with Corrina and Suzanne. I am one of the severe cases of Ashermans where an RE told me that I am inoperable and can’t have any more children without a surrogate . But he referred me to an A list doc and he fixed me. I have just given birth to my post Ashermans child. Do NOT give up but try to see an A list doc if at all possible. I can go on and on about the benefits…make sure you read our primer located on our home page. The best chance you have is to go to the best doc for your first surgery, it is your best chance to getting your uterus restored. There is no substitute for using a surgeon with skilled hands and skilled and practiced in Ashermans surgeries. An unskilled pair of hands can damage you further and we have several women in this group with this experience. Using an A list doc vs. using any other doc is like the difference between a person who plays the piano and a concert pianist. You want a concert pianist. If nothing else, please get a telephone consult from Dr. March (So. Calif) or Dr. Indman No. Cal) These two docs will review your records and give you advice over the phone. Take care and DON’T give up!
Guest guest
I too lost my last pregnancy at 8 weeks....well, I took the Zydatek to start the contractions at 8 weeks after an ultrasound at 7 weeks 4 days showed no heartbeat and a suspected ectopic. The poem you posted was lovely...thanks for sharing that. As for your question about balloon vs. IUD, the current " gold standard " is a balloon. The IUD has been used in the past (in fact I had it once when working with a non-A list doctor) but according to my current doctor, Dr. Valle, the IUD itself can cause irritation in the uterus which can lead to further development of the scar tissue. The balloon, on the other hand, is left in for only a very short period of time, usually a week or less and thus the chance for uterine irritation is very low. Also, the balloon has the advantage of literally keeping the walls of the uterus apart during the initial stage of healing to a much larger extent than the IUD. The balloon is not too bad really, it sounds much worse than it is in my opinion. I had some mild cramping and felt a little " bloated " and had to use the restroom a little more frequently but otherwise I couldn't feel it at all. And the removal is really a snap, I was instructed on how to do it at home and it is no more difficult or more painful than removing a tampon. I would opt for the balloon, make sure your doctor gives you antibiotics to take while you have the balloon in to prevent infection.
