Guest guest Posted September 6, 1999 Report Share Posted September 6, 1999 I too do the salad bar thing where I get portions of veggies and toppings and take them home. I don't like to chop up a lot if veggies because when I do they usually go to waste. I still need help with portion control. As to physical and emotional hunger I can now tell the difference. In my stomach I feel hungry when it is time to eat. When I want to eat at other times I ask myself, " What is going on? Why do you want something to eat now? " If I take the time to answer these two questions I discover that I want to eat because of an emotional reason, such as I' m tired or bored etc. I then tell myself that I can eat later when I am hungry. It requires being honest about my motivations and following up when I am physically hungry by not depriving myself. in Kansas Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
