Guest guest
Hello mist, Last week during a particularly bad flare up I was taken to the ER at about 1 am by my 67 year old dad. We were in there about 10 minutes when it all went down hill. The physician would not listen to anything I was saying- he would cut me off every time. At one point he used the phrase " yeah, yeah, yeah " . I then asked him to please phone my doctor. He gave me a smirk and an OK and left, only to tell me that a doctor covering for my doc said this was not an emergency and I did not need to be treated. That was it and he was gone again. y'all hang on this is where it gets interesting. We proceeded to get me into the wheelchair and here comes a nurse saying we have a shot for you and by this time my own pride and anger refused them. We were outside in the truck and who shows up? The police!!! Can you believe this? The officer wants to know if I am the one that is doctor shopping and which er we might go to next? I was so humiliated. All I could do was cry. Now I guess here is my question- if I was in the wrong why have I gotten 4 calls from the DON, one from the er physician liaison, and am expecting another call from them tomorrow? Could they be worried about me oh I don't know...speaking to an attorney about my treatment? And I want to know what y'all think I should do. Thanks for listening. Hope you all have a pain free night.
