Guest guest
Hi , I'm not sure of the timing as to the beta's but mine did not necessarly double. Mine were done every 49 hours: on 12/9-246 12-11-746 12-13-211? 12-16-8119, they stopped doing them then since they were going up and sono was able to locate little one in the uterus. No heart beat could be seen yet because first sono was at only 3 weeks, 2nd at 4 and my next is Monday so we should see it then if all goes well. At my 4 wk sono they said still a little soon, so they decided to wait until the 30th which is just into the 6th week, I wanted another sono this week but my Dr said 5 weeks would probably show only sack difference. I could not see the emryo on the one at 4 weeks but when dr pointed it out I was able to see it. Looks like a spot in the sack, they've assured me it is normal in appearance based on time. I tested only 4 days DPO and got +++ urine, I thought I'd concieved in October but sono's and numbers say I didn't get pg until mid November. So I tested +++ way early purly by a miscalculation mistake on my part. Do not worry, I'll email you Monday just as soon as we do my 6 wk sono and let you know if we could finally see heartbeat, if not we will wait until 8 weeks, if we can't find it then, then we will start to worry. As of now with having only a " spot " in the sack we are supposed to be happy little momma's to be! ) Keep your chin up, everything will be great!! Guest guest
I was just told by UCSF that I have two ms like spinal lesions and I have one hyperintense area in the brain. Is that enough for a diagnoisis?
Guest guest
I have read that the presence of more than one lesion, separated by space and time, is definitive for MS. That means that the lesions must be in different areas of the brain, and the difference in time would be represented by whether they are highlighted with the contrast media indicating an active lesion vs an old lesion. Guest guest
My neurologist told me one of the sure ways you could diffinately tell is through a spinal tap. Do not for get that there are diseases that copy MS. I can not tell you if you have it or not. I know what I did to find out. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Fri, January 29, 2010 5:55:55 PM Subject: Re: Help Please  I have read that the presence of more than one lesion, separated by space and time, is definitive for MS. Guest guest
Joy, here is what I like to want you to truely internalize. A neurologist goes, most of the time anyway, by what he sees, the perfect picture with his perfect book written chart...i.e. if you have one or more lesions that fit MS you must have MS therefore...this was also newly determined by Dr Mc in '07 (almost like saying we don't know what causes those lesions so lets just make it easier on us " poor " neuros). Prior to that neuros were supposed to " prove it " with a spinal tap; here is the issue, there is NO certain test for MS - like there are no certain tests for many other neurological illnesses. Many things, such as Lyme Disease or other things from the outside in, cause MS like issues, including lesions. What I am saying, lesions are lesions and they happen because of something. My personal opinion, the human body is not made to hurt itself (maybe just maybe if there is a genetic connection it might but I think the percentage is rather slim), whatever happens to you, it is something that came from the outside in one day. After a while, like after a traumatic event, a rough sickness, maybe getting older and a less strong immune system, or just having more stress then usual brings the bad " guy " out. So whatever " they " say, find your way, medicine is faulty, very faulty, especially in neurology! Take good omegas, read Dudley's blog, take Vit C, learn and listen to your body. You can overcome everything with loads of patients and believe, just don't put your money on, well, commercial medicine, they know just as much as we do, in particular in the field of neurology. Sorry, I sound bitter today but man, it sucks to put doctors in the corner with a fight, over and over again, just like today! All the best, Bianca   ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Fri, January 29, 2010 6:26:44 PM Subject: Re: Help Please  I was just told by UCSF that I have two ms like spinal lesions and I have one hyperintense area in the brain. Is that enough for a diagnoisis? Guest guest
I was wondering if any one has had a Lamenectormy. I had one on L4 and L4 in 1986. My question is has there been many people that are left in Chronic pain due to Lamenectormy. Mine is crippling me cannot do much, The pain sometimes is smilier to a tooth with a bad nerve,I would rate the average pain level to be 8 out of ten. Please tell me your story. I would be grateful. Thank you to group its the best thing since sliced cheese. Alla the best to everyone From Allan
