Guest guest
I am 38 and worked construction for 23 yrs. and have been diagnosed with R/A and osteoarthritis, however I feel like a junkie with the amount of meds I take. I know this is a big daily dosage for almost anyone yet the look you get when you say these don't help any longer is that of a dope head. Hi Jc I don't think your pain is being adequately treated. Caitlin's suggestion of taking a long acting narcotic makes more sense. There are quite a few of them can be very affective. I take Methadone, which is one of the least expensive. Do you take any type of NSAID, such as Ibuprophen for your arthritis? It responds well to a medication that will reduce the inflammation. This should be helpful in addition to a narcotic medication. NSAIDS can be hard on the stomach, so be sure to take it with food. Do no, I repeat do not tell anyone what medications you are taking. It's none of their business. Many people have been robbed by friends, or relatives, who know you have narcotics in your home. No one can judge you if they don't know anything. If they ask just give a vague reply that you are taking some kind of generic that you can't remember the name, and then change the subject. Keep your medications in a safe place, never in your medicine cabinet or any easily accessible place by visitors. Good luck Kaylene
