I went to the hospital today to start my intake forms and tests for my spinal

surgery Monday. And the nurse was cold as ice. grrrr

I hate it when medical professionals treat you like a number.

Well we were going through my list of drugs that I am supposedly according to

her allergic to. After going through each one she would say well you have the

typical side effects to this or that drug not a true allergy.

Hello! EXCUSE ME!!! If suffering from a side effect is supposedly going to make

me feel better then why on earth is it a side effect when in my case it either

makes me nauseasous, dizzy, disoriented, increase in my pain levels, headache,

trembling etc.

What do we have to do to suffer enough from drug interactions and reactions

before it is classified as an allergy. Stop breathing?

I have had really odd allergies to drugs over the years from stopped breathing

to itching, to my skin raising in blood colored patches all over my body to my

throat swelling shut.

Do we have to suffer life threatening reactions before they are classified as an

allergy? If so our medical profession needs to take a good long look at their

priorities and our needs personally.
