Vivian it make look weird but makes sense as heat dilates vessels that are constricted that cause migraines. My grandpa used coal oil for a disinfectant on everything and I have seen this done in old movies. I have had mustard packs put on my chest for colds, a combination of eggs and salt whipped and placed on a boil or large pimple to extract the core. They used this on a carbuncle I had on my leg and it worked. I used it on my face to clear it up later on. My grandmother would pat us down with vicks and a warm towel with tin foil over it to hold the heat in and you have to put the Vicks up each nostril also, You wake up breathing well. Suite 101 has listed many articles on Natural Remedies. I also used oatmeal as a cheap mask for my face with honey. Those were the good old days when you went to bed and no one could see you as you were all wrapped up. Bennie
