Guest guest
Bill, Ocheye danu! Hows life in sydney? good i hope. i have seen someone else here mention docs in Ozz. Couldn't help you there, better look around, but i know that some docs do use resurfacing in Ozz. If you remind me after easter, mail to my personal email, i will call the company who make the prosthesis and ask them for some contact details for you. ;-) I just looked in their manual and they say that they do export to australia! On your question regarding your weight, i have a simillar problem. I am about 4 stone over my ideal weight. I have lost over a stone already and intend to loose another 2 before i commit. The general opinion is that of course the less weight you have on your hip the better. I am also confident to say that even now, if you were lighter, you would have less pain, i have noticed some benefit just by loosing 17 pounds. I understand that it is more a question of bone quality, than weight. I asked the same question to the secretary of Tracey. She told me that if you have a guy who is 6ft6 " , he will have a natural weight of 15 stones plus, he is still a viable candidate. Being over weight does make the surgery more difficult for the surgeon though, and it takes longer as you have more layers of fat to tunnel through and hold back. you may get some answers from reading the 2 faxes that i received from a UK surgeon. you can find them at http://www.thunderballhip.eboard.com have a look, they may help. take care richie _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
