Guest guest
Ok....same study Jane is talking to Emory about. I made contact with several yesterday and tentatively have appointment at University of Chicago on April 9 for all their testing in their ILD center and then consideration. I appear to have only one real issue that could make me ineligible and that is my creatinine level (kidney function), which is borderline. Also, at the least I'd get a very thorough check out by an excellent facility as they accept nothing as fact coming in. They diagnose the disease from start including reading the biopsy slides themselves. The things I like about the Sildenafil study is only 12 weeks that you might be on a Placebo, then everyone who wants gets the real thing. Plus its already an approved medication for PH as Revatio in the same dosage so side effects well known. And of course one side effect made them billions under the name Viagra. This could potentially involve 8 trips to Chicago or so over a six month period. Closest location to me is Tulane, but I just feel better about the UofC ILD clinic. Anyone have experience with Tulane? Who is on Revatio for PH and what experiences have you had? Who else is considering this trial at other places? Anxious to hear any comments.
