As I`ve always said, it`s all left up to me because hubby just sort of backs away. I feel like I could jump out of my skin. I try praying, I get some relief, Relaxing my breathing, my mind won`t even let me do that. I don`t know how I am going to handle this or how we will make it, but it has to be stopped NOW, not later. , You are not alone. I stay up nights worrying about things also. I have cut back, my son is half way through college and has a full load and we have to get it done. I told him we would help him, but you know if something happens to my husband he will just have to face reality and quit for awhile, work, make his own way, and it will make him a stronger man. I have tried to change my thinking and it seems by you saying that, this has to be stopped now, not later, you are getting control of things. The only thing difference with me is I used to go get a second job to help out with finances, now I can't do that and I can't even work at all. I had someone help clean the house so my husband would have a break, but we stopped that. We rented out a room in our house once but that ended up costing us so you really have to have a handle on that and we were helping someone and didn't set down rules and we got the bad end of this deal. I have gone through all my professional work clothes and selling them at a consignment shop and I get money for casual clothes or a check and that is three hundred dollars here and there. I am selling my longaberger basket collection, my BOYD bears collection, our baseball collection, our coin collection, our stamp collection, and we bought Japanese wood block prints when we were in JAPAN and I am in the process of getting them to a gallery. These are things we can do without and they were just pleasure things. My son takes his old computer games to Game Stop and resells them. We take our used books to half price and sell them, along with cd and tapes. I know this is not a big amount but it helps and gets the clutter out and I do not have to worry about cleaning. Now I have to decide about my china and some jewelry. I purchase from a local consignment shop, e-bay, and Goodwill. Our local Goodwill has overstock with new items so I find brand new clothes there I love as I look for the colors I like. I save this way and get money back. I find by doing something, I become less worried, Others probably have more ideas. If I have a yard sale, I always make at least two hundred so that helps also.
