another little tip...for those in need of another little tip!

There is a cool little contraption that VitaLady will probably frown

upon<G> from Eudora (or Bruno in some parts of the country) called the

Cafe' Frother.

This neat little contraption has saved the day a couple times for me.

In basis, it's a glass tube, open on one end with a metal cap that fits

over the open end with a plunger. The plunger is the diameter of the

tube and is made up of a nylon or stainless steel mesh.

One fills up to a certain fill line on the tube with SKIM milk and then

fits the plunger and cap over the end and then moves the plunger through

the SKIM milk 20 to 30 times. By aerating the milk, it turns into a

thick whipped cream that is really a treat when one throws in a package

of EQUAL or sugar substitute as you start to froth the milk.

I've used it a number of times to pour into a mug with coffee as well as

a topping that is very similiar to Cool Whip or better on top of fruit

for dessert.

Although it uses skim milk (for VitaLass...a Bovine Mucus byrpoduct)

the amount used is probably a half cup with the Equal and most likely

not much of a caloric or fat intake....for the whipped cream substitute

that ya just gotta have every so often!<G>
