Hi ,

It is good to hear from you. I am sorry that Janet had to go to the hospital.

It's difficult to know exactly what was in the bucket. My assumption, and

that's all it is, is that it was more than likely a combination of what ever

she had been able to eat, along with bile and other digestive juices. I

believe that if the doctor felt like it was blood, the nurse would have

checked it for blood by using a quiac ( I can't remember how to spell this

for anything??) test. I wouldn't focus too much on this at this time, unless

it looked more like bright red blood or if it persists at home.

WE all HATE this disease. Sometime I think it does do goo to go to some place

where you (and she) could just scream and get it out. There is a time when we

are all filled with rage.

Has she ever received TPN? Have they talked about it since she is losing so

much weight?

Tell her we are saying prayers for both of you. It is a disease that affects

everyone. Being a caregiver is a difficult job.
