Hi Suz,

This has happened to me on occasion. If I need to ask my doctor a question,

when I have a certain complaint, i.e., fluid retention, I have to call the

receptionist, then speak to the nurse, who then speaks to the doctor, who

then speaks to the referring nurse, who then never calls me back. A few days

later, I get a notice in the mail of an appointment with a referred

physician. All I wanted was an answer to a relatively simple question.

Unfortunately, there is little time for patient examination and conversation.

I also do not like a major decision being made without my consultation and

consent.

Go for it Suz. Find out all you can.

Second time for the urinary tract infection or the upper resp. thing?

The reason I ask is that because in the last 6 mo. I've had

three...yes 3 urinary tract infections!! Does this have any relation

to this disease? My doc said the only thing he could figure, and he

admitted this was only a possibility, was that it has something to do

w/pain meds slowing the digestive tract down and the constipation

thing. Does anyone else have this problem?
