sticking stuff

Did you have the RNY? I've never heard to this before to get something

" unstuck " from our pouch, BUT anything is worth a try!!!!!!! Do you lay on

your left side with a pillow anyplace to wedge the stomach, or just lay there?

I hate it (even after 7 years) when the saliva starts " backing up " and you

KNOW something is stuck and you've got a wonderful dinner in front of you.

I've got through many kinds of " unsticking procedures " , from walking to

(almost) standing on my head to make my stomach clear.

ANOTHER QUESTION HERE: Does anybody retain the " vomiting

reflex " when something is stuck......what I mean, is do they spontaneously

upchuck/vomit when something is hurting or do they have to " force "

vomiting? This sounds totally *gross*, but I have to force myself to vomit

when my stomach doesn't feel good!! My doctor told me this was because

I had the second surgery and no " vomiting reflex " is left and another told

me " because of the RNY and no gastric juices are in the stomach to

initiate vomiting " . Well, whatever it is, I hate to make myself get sick, but

after the pain of a " stuck stomach " , something has to relieve it.
