I find Florida in the winter to be awesome.

I function much better.

In summers I run for Air Conditioning.

Hi all, I enjoy reading the many messages you write but now have a

question for you. My husband and I would like to travel south this

winter and since I have arthritis pain what part of the country is the

best to go that is easier on my pain and also WARM? I live in Illinois

and it is not the best palce to live with RA. Hope to hear from you

soon. Thanks much,

Hi :

I moved here to S.W. Florida 4 years ago from Cape Cod due to my RA. It

has been a great move, and I am so much better living here. The weather

is good all the time, especially in the winter months.

I hope this information helps you. Wishing you pain free days.

Hugs,

Barbara

Hi - I live in Florida and now that we are just about out of

hurricane season, the temps are cool and dry and very RA friendly

(IMHO). Personally I think the east coast of Florida is less humid

than the west coast. Hey Barbara - wanna give your input on the west

coast? Hope this helps..........Doreen :)

Hi and Doreen:

The weather here is just perfect now here on the South West coast. It

has been 75-80 every day for the last 3 weeks. No humidity, dry, gentle

breezes, and sunny.

Hope you're feeling good Doreen with this great weather.

Hugs to both of you,

Barbara

and group;

Anyplace warm sounds great to me.  I think  all the southern states are warm.

But Florida is the nicest, however; regardless  what state, it still gets cold

at night sometimes.  Have a wonderful vacation where ever you go.

gentle hugs

Clora

Humidity bothers my RA. I'm lucky that I live in southern California.

I'd choose a dry, southern state myself...California, Arizona, New Mexico.

I lived in Los Angeles for YEARS and I thought moving to a dry state

would be better for my RA. My husband and I moved to Colorado 4

years ago and from my experience...Los Angeles was far more " RA

friendly " . My flares occur more often and are much worse then they

were when I lived in Southern California.

I thought it was the humidity that was killing me, but now I think

it's the barametric pressure. Whenever the barametric pressure

changes up or down rapidly, I am miserable. In Colorado, if you don't

like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change. I went to

Orlando last year and I was suprised that I wasn't in as much pain as

I thought I would be. If I had to do it all over again, I would have

stayed in Southern California.
