Guest guest
Hi Kami, Didn't know there was a Highmark type of BC/BS. We belong to BC/BS of Texas and my mail order is through Prime Therapeutics. Also use my local pharmacy for certain meds. Do have to pay $30 for any doctor visit but probably that will go up next year. Since I don't have RA won't know if my insurance would cover your type meds. hugs, Debbie L > > > >
Guest guest
Kami, My Medco is being changed to Caremark also. I went on their site and looked around, but I don't have my new card so I can't compare anything yet. Our co-pays are not due to change this Jan. I see it coming the next one though. Shirley > > Ugh. I was afraid this day would come. It is good and bad in some ways but in all, the coverage IS better however.... I am having fear of the unknown. > > Highmark BC/BS is the company. Guest guest
I like caremark it is a great pharmacy never had a problem with them. It was the cigna pharmacy that gave me loads of trouble. Guest guest
Kami, I don't know if you have been through this before. Last time my mail pharmacy changed they did not forward my scripts. I have already planned on seeing my GP and rheummy to get new ones to mail in again. I am also refilling any that I can in December so that I will have plenty to get through the two week period of new scripts being filled and mailed back. Shirley > > > > > Ugh. Guest guest
Whenever my mail order service changes, I always have to get new scripts from my doctors. Do make sure I refill all mine prior to Jan 1 so will have enough. Debbie L > > Kami, > I don't know if you have been through this before. Guest guest
Group; I am trying to stop mailed RX's. Having a hard time too. Once I get it stopped I am finished with mailed RX's I got to wait 4 days to 2 weeks for them. I tried changing and got a script for my meds and she had a few more. And the pharmacy said I had some sent out already. That was imbarrasing. I drop my RX at the mental health and they have them mailed to me. A few weeks ago I talked to someone on the phone that wanted me to use the mail system, I wanted to ask a few questions about it. She was evasive about my questions. She didnt want to answer any questions till I gave my name and address. I insisted on my question first. She gave in so I asked a couple guestions and gave her the info she wanted. I kept asking questions haaaaaaaaaaa. I finally said no thanks and hug up. I don't want to wait for my RX's. I want them when I get them. I can go to the drugstore and get them. Now when I am unable to get them at the drugstore that will be ok for them to mail them. I hope thats what ya was talking about. gentle hugs Clora ********************************************************** > Kami, > I don't know if you have been through this before. Guest guest
Clora, I don't know about the others, but I don't have a choice with some of my meds because of cost. If I don't do the Enbrel through mail, I must pay 80% which is about $1200 a month. Through mail order I get 3 months for $50. Also my name brand and generic drugs are so much cheaper, it is like getting 3 months for the cost of 2. This may vary by insurance companies, but is how my Rx plan works. Guest guest
Shirley and group; Awe ok. I know there are so many things our insurance companies do or don't do. If I could get it for 3 months at a time I would do it too. I can only get it a month at a time, so I go through changes when she forgets to send a script out and I am out of meds. hugs clora From: nana2livi <s.p5315@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Switching Insurance Companies In January Date: Saturday, November 8, 2008, 12:53 PM Clora, I don't know about the others, but I don't have a choice with some of my meds because of cost.
