Guest guest
Hi Tammy....I had a horrible problem with the humira. Long story but I injected the humira and it didn't quit the burning sensation..it kept right on burning. It was so bad, I couldn't sleep with a sheet over my leg...had to sleep with the sheet off and a fan blowing on my leg. Humira has a caustic acid in it and that caused the burn..whereas the burning stops for some people, it never did for me and caused an ulcer in my leg. I called the dr and he said to take benadryl before I inject, i did, it wasnt as bad but it still burnt and kept on burning but not as long. The first time I did it, the burn never went away. The injection caused me to have a pressure ulcer that had to be treated at the wound care center. I went there for a month so they could check on it. I had to pack and unpack the sore in my leg. This is a rare happening and most people have no problem with it. I compared the ingred between the humira and the enbrel and there is a caustic acid listed on the ingred for the humira where there is not one w/enbrel. I now use enbrel that I self mix. I did call the FDA , wrote to them and also wrote and called Humira Abbott about it. They told me that some people do have a problem with the burning but most do not. Not very comforting to those that do have that problem. I switched to the enbrel self mix and have been fine with that. it doesn't contain a preservative since it's self mix. a Ohio ************** The Average US Credit Score is 692.
