Since I quit, I have never had any desire to have another cigarette.

And I'm glad.

That's great to hear. I hated quitting and than wanting a cigarette

the rest of my life. Went to the doctors didn't have time to look over

my paperwork to quit smoking.

Glad you were able to finally quit like my husband did.

Hey Phyllis - I can surely relate to that! I don't want to smoke ever

again either, but every once in a while that ole' nicodemon will come

along and slap me upside the head with a crave from nowhere. I've

gotten pretty good at denying myself as I have NO intentions of ever

going backwards.

Good to see you around............Doreen :)

Debbie,

I am an idiot. I didn't smoke until I was 33. I had never drank

alcohol until then either. I was going through my divorce after 17

years of marriage. Yep, I was a child bride and only knew marriage as

a way of life. My father was livid with me. I had successfully hidden

it from him for a year. I told him it was either smoking or drugs. Now

I sort of wish it had been drugs!

I have quit twice. Once for two months (last year) and once for 8

months. I am going to quit again this month when the smoke out is.

Maybe the third time is the charm. I need my daughter to quit also. It

is very hard having someone else in the house that smokes.

Only smoked a little during college and right after graduation.  Never had that

habit-just picked one up now and then when out with friends.  Started working in

the hospital and had several young patients (30ish) with lung cancer and met my

husband who was allergic to smoke-enough of an incentive for me to stop even the

occasional smoke. linda

I am proud to see that many of you have quit smoking. Is there anyone

like me that never did smoke? I feel like a minority here.
