Guest guest
Sorry to say but I had to go off enbrel and humira for repeated sinus infections. We tried everything but they just wouldn't stop until I got completely off the medicine. Joy From: ~ Kami ~ <kamilleon@...> Subject: [ ] Sinus Headache From HELL " " < > Date: Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 2:36 PM I love how Humira makes me feel but the sinus headaches I am getting are leaving me USELESS. I injected Sunday which was 12 days after my last injection. I took 2 Advil Sinus and did not get a headache the day of injection. Monday... Tuesday... and today I have woken up with headaches that will not go away unless I use Sudafed. The problem with Sudafed is it spikes my blood pressure and the doctor does not want me doing this long term. My question is.... Has anyone had a similar problem and if so, how did you treat it? I called my family doc today and he was gone for the day but I am wondering if something like Nasonex or Flonase may be beneficial for me. Thanks for listening! *~ Kami ~*

Guest guest
Hi Kami - so sorry to hear you are suffering from these sinus headaches. I know how miserable they can be. Have you tried a saline solution (like Ayr) that can be used as often as needed? Someone else once said something about a Neti-pot. My MIL rinses her sinuses out daily with a salt-water solution so that her sinuses don't bother her. I've thought about getting her a Neti-pot for Christmas, but wondered if that would be too cheesy or gross. She's so hard to buy for. Anyway - the only draw backs to Flonase or Nasonex is they tend to dry out the nasal passages which in turn can cause more irritation. I've had trouble with thick post-nasal drip which will cause headaches and an itchy throat. Saline solution is the best thing I've come up with for that so far. Hope this helps.........Doreen > > I love how Humira makes me feel but the sinus headaches I am > getting are leaving me USELESS. > > I injected Sunday which was 12 days after my last injection. Guest guest
Shirley and group; A Neti-poti sounds great for christmas haaaaaaaa. I am saving for one. But as soon as I think I have some money for myself a new bill like a doctor bill comes in. When I had the sleep study the neurologist that checks the test does not accept medicade. So he sends me a bill. Oh well, what ya gonna do? gentle hugs Clora ************************************************************* > > Hi Kami - so sorry to hear you are suffering from these sinus > headaches. Guest guest
Hi Clora, I think you meant Doreen. I know Sweetie, you get us confused. It's OK, I think Doreen is a Super Lady and friend, you are too! I know about the money though. I am still working and it is like that for me. I figure when I have extra money and something like that happens and takes it, then that is why I had it. Someone knew that it was going to be needed and it was supplied. When I don't have the extra and something happens, it's put me on a payment plan. I have several of those. Hope you and all of the group has a good day!
