Guest guest
My rheumy decided yesterday that she is going to start me on Remicade infusions. That is, if my insurance will cover it since it won't cover Enbrel. I was wondering how is the Remicade working for you as far as pain. I can see you are having some side effects which I am so sorry these things are happening to you. My rheumy told me it's very rare to have side effects except for a headache. Looks like you may be the 1 in 3,000 that have other side effects. Would appreciate any info you (or anyone) could give me about Remicade and if it helps the pain, etc. Thank you, Shay Michigan -- [ ] Infusion and Red Face The last time I had my Remicade Infusion, I woke up the next day with a really red face and one cheek looked like a welt. I also could feel a fine rash on my legs. So I called the office and reported it. He told me to take Benedryl or something else which might not make me sleepy. (Of course, I've forgotten the name of the alternate). So yesterday they did a pre-treatment with a steroid and gave me a Benedryl before the infusion. I slept through most of the infusion. Today I woke up with the red face again and my neck looks like I was wearing a v neck and got a sunburn. I had my husband take a picture of it. It's more like cea. I will call the office again and report it -- I figure there's no hurry since the next infusion isn't for 8 weeks. But I was wondering if anyone else has cea and has a flare from a biologic? dd **************Access 350+ FREE radio stations anytime from anywhere on the web. Get the Radio Toolbar! But my numbers were not good. We tried Arava and that was terrible for me. My GI doctor recommended Remicade for my Crohn's Disease and of course it's also for RA. I've had about 4 or 5 infusions. The first ones I had no trouble at all. The last two, I've gotten the red face that is like (and may be) cea. The Remicade has helped a lot with the intestinal problems and is so much better than the Arava. dd **************Access 350+ FREE radio stations anytime from anywhere on the web.
