Hi Margaret,

Sorry to hear about your Hematologist. I go to one in Big Rapids,

Michigan and he is okay except he refuses to prescribe me anything directly for

the pain. I've tried a lot of different things but nothing seems to work..

And he refuses to per scribe anything that is a narcotic. I've taken

Darvocet prescribed by my GP when I was first diagnosed but that doesn't help

me either. He only wants to take care of the inflammation that is causing

the pain. Yes that is all good except I feel like I'm dying sometimes while

I'm waiting for the right drugs to kick in to lessen the inflammation.

Therefore most of my flares last 2 or 3 days. On my next visit I'm going to

have to ask him if he doesn't prescribe pain meds to anyone or is it that

he doesn't realize how much pain I'm in. eeerrrgghh!

Sorry, I meant Rheumatologist and also the reason I was telling you this

is to let you know I see one in Michigan. Just in case you are close

enough to try him out if you are interested. I do hope you find a decent

Rheumy.

it was a rheumatologist, hope i did not type hema...i do have so many

misspellings most of the time.

like julia roberts in pretty women said, just about everyone blows her mind (not

in " that " kind of way, the regular way)...and all the 20 plus docs i've seen

manage to one way or another,geesh.
