Guest guest
So nice to hear your enthusiasm about a new toy...ENJOY Raniolo From: Dennis W <betnden@...> Subject: [ ] New Recumbent bike! " " < > Date: Monday, November 10, 2008, 10:19 PM In the past few years, Larry from New Orleans and now Houston had sworn on using a bike for exercise. (I wonder what happened to him?) So just on a small hunch, I asked on the local Freecycle group if anyone had one I could use, even for parts if nothing else. A coupld of weeks went by with no replies. Then, a post offering one to the group. Needless to say, I emailed her immediately to try to claim it. That afternoon, we had appointments at the hospital, and went to pick it up afterwards. It's a Pro-Form GL50, an electronic controlled $400 unit that needed a little TLC. I tapped new holes for the display mast and put in new bolts, and then replaced the dead batteries that were the real reason they wanted to give it away. The only thing I can't get working so far is the pulse detector on the hand grip. I'm as happy as a hog in mud>>> Dennis in estexas

Guest guest
Dennis, you are too funny. " Happy as a hog in mud. " **LOL** I have a recumbent bike although not as fancy as the one you got and I'm not as happy with it as I would like to be. I need to figure out how to use it without having this stupid belly apron getting in the way. If I don't hold it back, it makes me have to ride almost bow-legged which just kills my hips. Anyone have any suggestions?.......Doreen > > In the past few years, Larry from New Orleans and now Houston had > sworn on using a bike for exercise. (I wonder what happened to > him?)
