My advice is to get a second opinion from another rheumy. If you do

have RA, you're going to need more than meloxicam.

Hello ita,

I read your email y se me aguaron los ojos!  I can relate to what your feeling

so much - especially the pain in the fingers, the anger and hopelessness you

feel; I think everyone with RA can relate actually.  But you will get better!

And you have to fight and not give up!

Please call your insurance company and have them recommend another rheumy - the

one you have is completely insensitive.  Meloxicam is not the ONLY medicine

available to bring you relief..here are so many!   Also, post your city and

state and ask for suggestions from all your new friends here in the support

group - I'm sure somebody can recommend a good rheumy in your area.  Don't give

up though!  You will find your right mix of cocktails and you will start feeling

relief.  But you'll feel better when you find the rheumy that is going to want

to help fight the fight along with you.

I pray that you find a good rheumy soon.  And I pray that you have less painful

days ahead of you.

Sending healing hugs your way....

Daisy

It was like a waste of time.....I left there feeling more depressed then ever.

He did nothing for me. Said I had symptoms of RA, Carpal tunnel and something

else. But was not sure which was causing my inflammation and pain. He gave me

this " you're already taking meloxicam " that should work. He also said " You

really didn't want steroid treatments because they make me gain weight " " who

cares! " I told him everyday I hurt my fingers soooo bad I'm about to pass out.

Now my other fingers are being affected. He didn't seem to care that I don't

sleep, or am able to care for my kids. What am I going to do...I spent the whole

weekend in pj's, didn't even brush my hair. Don't want to see anyone, I feel

like I'm becoming bitter. My hubby went to a place called " The Vitamin Shoppe "

talked to the mgr, whose mom happens to have RA. He did recommend a couple of

vitamins...I forced myself this evening to start taking them. I'm so angry...I

don't want to be like this.

Need friendly advice.

Gracias Daisy! I am going to call my doc today and let him know that I need him

to give me more than just mumbo jumbo. I'm dealing with the flu and bronchitis

right now...a horrible migraine. Like I need more??
