Guest guest
I think that we are actually a lot less risk for swine flu. Here is why- the majority of deaths are in the 25 to 45 age group. Just like the 1918 flu, the people most affected have very good immune systems thus the highest proportion of deaths is in the population that has the best immune system. There have been no deaths in under 3 and in the elderly. I bet that there also have been no deaths in the people who take immune suppression drugs like most of us. The deaths arise, they think, from an overwhelming response of the immune system that swamps the lungs. Tamiflu is effective for it but I wonder if drugs like prednisone, medrol, and all the other immune suppresants aren't equally good. in the woods of Northern Virginia
