Guest guest
Hi Chris! Wow, thanks for replying. Yes you are exactly right on both counts. I did ask my rheumy and it is from injection. It has not cleared up though. I just figure it's a little tiny unique marking. Pretty soon I'll need another shot there again as it's starting to act up again. It's funny though, I don't get a reaction in my right index finger when I get a shot, just there in the left pinky. Good to hear from you, hope you had a nice time! Heidi in Mass. Just clearing up my unread messages from when I was away. Expect you got the answer at the rheumy visit! But I was just curious.. Your discription sounded to me like localised vitiligo (white scarring of the skin). I googled 'vitiligo at injection site' and came up with reports of it happening after steroid inj. Don't believe it gives any cause for concern, but I remember that vitiligo can be an auto-immune phenomenon. So probably the process started back after the inj.The white area represents the end result, ( rather like a white scar line) Hope your pain is improved. The symptoms you describe could be a side effect of the injection. Let us know what your rheumatologist says.
