Guest guest
, I must say I've had my hips hurt before replacements when coughing but not the knees. My hips would often hurt in the groin area when coughing and COULD? be an indication of wear there but I'm not qualified to say. I do know you can also get deferred pain down to your knees and would definately tell your doctor so they can check it out. So, so sorry it's been rough lately for you and so many of my dear family here. Much love and many biggest hugs. ----- Original Message ----- From: I have been experiencing pain in my hips and knees that intensifies each time I cough. Guest guest
Hi Anne, My daughter Allyson who was just diagnosed a few weeks ago is also spilling blood in her urine. They did an ultra sound and her kidneys looked fine. She had no casts in her urine or protein. There were times that the water in the toilet was actually bright red from this also. Because there were no casts the Kidney Specialists were not as concerned. She is not having kidney failure. It was however scary for her as well as irritating to her bladder. They increased her steroids and two weeks later she still has trace amounts of blood in her urine that shows up on a culture but not that we can see. Allyson is very high ANA+, has her Jaw, both knees and both ankles involved. Not sure if this helps you because we are still looking for answers ourselves. She goes back to see the Rheumatologist on Tuesday and the plan is to start her on MTX. Hang in there! Diane and Maggie age 11 (OI,CP,Systemic JIA, Autoinflammatory disease,Uveitis,PID) Allyson age 14 (ANA+, confirmed arthritis still working on diagnosis) From: annebacon64 <annebacon@...> Subject: new symptom? Date: Friday, February 20, 2009, 2:01 PM Hi all, Yesterday had blood in her urine. At first we assumed UTI, but that was not the case. They did a blood draw and more urine tests yesterday and they will be doing an ultrasound this afternoon. Her ANA is negative and she has no abnormal protein in her urine, so Lupus is out. I can tell her ped. is worried. She called 's ped rheumy and discussed the tests for today. Any one have any experience with this? I am NOT have a good time. Guest guest
Hi Anne, My Lucy was also spilling blood in her urine. That's so scary. I took her to the ped and they ran all sorts of tests and everything came back normal. The ped says that is benign hematuria and not related to the jra, but now I am wondering since some of you all are experiencing it with your kids. Could it be a med side effect? Or something to do with the immune system? I don't know. I just know that it has gone away for now. Counting my blessings, I guess. Amy and Lucy, 7 poly jra new symptom? Guest guest
Hey Bonnie, My elbows will swell and also lock up at times. Its just an RA thing and it comes and goes. Kind of sucks but I guess I am just used to it. Hopefully it won't happen anymore after I start the enbrel in July. > > Hey all.... I got another new one... My elbow is now joining my smaller joints in being a pain in the rear end. I looked up the pain I'm feeling and I came up with -medical epicondylitis. Has anyone else experienced this with RA/Lupus symptoms? > It appears to also be called Tennis elbow, but as you all know, I haven't been very active at all with this new flare. In fact I try not to move unless I have too... Is this common? > > On top of having this new pain, my feet joints have decided to kick my butt again... I was awake the majority of last night, as I kept waking up in pain and found I was having difficulty going back to sleep.. > I actually had the phone in my hand several times today, ready to call my doctor for another appointment to discuss the increase pain and the new elbow issue.... but I kept reminding myself that he may want to do additional needles and I'd quickly hang the phone back up... > Am I lame or what? I seriously hate needles to the point that its close to being a phobia... > I'm looking for some sound advice, as I'm far from sound with the pain meds and lack of sleep... > Thanks! > Bonnie >
Guest guest
Hi Bonnie! Just read ur post! hope you get to feeling better! Several yrs. ago my right elbow had a large knot/ swelling; I don't think it hurt me badly, tho. Upon doc's drawing out the material from that elbow knot, it was a bloody fusion, my doc stated. Doc's sent it off for diagnosis and it was 'negative' (not cancer). That was when my Doc's found out that I had R.A. !. with Positive blood tests Results for R.A. ; ( My blood tests had been negative a year or so - previously - from That elbow trouble, even at about same time that I was having Severe swelling and Pain - in my wrists. email me anytime! judy b. Guest guest
Thanks Kathy and Judy... The pain in my elbow has actually subsided a little today... Perhaps it was just inflamed the way my hands get... I never know what will happen next... Well anyway, thanks for both of your replies.... As always, everyone's kindness is appreciated. > > > > Hey all.... I got another new one... My elbow is now joining my smaller joints in being a pain in the rear end.
