Guest guest
Sandy, I had my HSG in August, and it was painful for me. I am used to having extreme cramping each month, but this felt different. This was constant pressure. The more they fill your uterus with the dye, the more it hurt. My left tube is completely blocked, so it was more painful for me. If they are having trouble, they have you move from left to right, trying to get the dye in the tube! Which is hard with all the instruments they have going! I felt a sense of extreme releif as soon as they took the catheter out. Then I felt bloated and sore the remainder of the day! Take the day off, after the procedure you will feel stressed from all the anxiety and worrying. You should take Tylenol before, and relax, even though I know it is impossible to do! Good luck!
