Guest guest
I don't know how you did it. I really wanted it to work too but my doc said to stop it. He really wasn't sure it would be a strong enough drug for me anyway. I think I would have gone nuts if I itched for 2 years. I guess we will go through a lot when we get desperate though. Guest guest
I am not allowed any of the biologics. It was a last chance for me. I have liver disease and can not take any drug that affects liver function. I and all my siblings contracted hepatitis in utero. My mother had it in WW2 Europe. I wish you well. I have chosen longevity and I will deal with the limitations RA causes. Guest guest
and group I am a little confused why cathering can't take bioligics. Will it affect our livers. I know I get a blood text from my rheumy every 3 months and I think it is to check my liver. Does biologics hurt our livers? gentle hugs CLora ********************************************************** > > I am not allowed any of the biologics. Guest guest
My understanding is all the drugs affect immunity. If my immunity gets lowered the hepatitis can get out of control. They feel that allthough my bllod enzymes are extremely high I function well. I am sure your Doctor carefully monitors your liver to be sure you do not develop liver disease. I was born with liver disease. I am not allowed tylenol and other such products either... Trust your Doctor.... Guest guest
, Funny you mention this. I am not allowed biologics I am told because I not only do I have RA but Lupus too. (my actual diagnosis is MCTD) My doc said I can't take them because it could cause my lupus to get worse. I too have chose longevity up until this point but now I seem to be having problems with inflammation in my head (bad pressure and headaches) and he wants to get that under control before it turns into something bad. If it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't mess with a lot of this stuff since I have such side effects. Guess we gotta do what we gotta do. --- In , CATHERINE RANIOLO <c.raniolo@...> wrote: > > I am not allowed any of the biologics. Guest guest
for people who can't tolerate the usual DMARDs or biologics or don't like the side effects, the antibiotic protocol for rheumatic disease may be an option. see: http://www.roadback.org/ http://rheumatic.org/ monique
Guest guest
Cath and group I am so sorry what are you taking for your pain. Omg I hope they give you something for pain. When my blood levels wasnt right my rheumy wouldnt give me my meds. I had to go to my primary doctor. I didnt even know I had an infection. I was freaked out when she said that she couldnt give me my meds. I got my eyes checked and the eye opth=something. Cause with lyrcia you can go blind. My eye doc didnt send her the results like I asked. I had to sign a sheet so my rheumy could send for it. It's a mess with us isnt it. I really hope you can take something. I still have pain with all the stuff I get. I got to lie down all the time. I can't even walk to the mail box and I get all kinds of meds. The humira injections works good. I had to stop it for a couple weeks and the pain was so bad. God bless you hon and take care. Pleas let me know what they are doing for you. God bless and take care. I cant take methotrexate it broke me out in alcaria hives. It felt worse than poison ivy. gentle hugs clora ************************************************************* > > My understanding is all the drugs affect immunity.
