Guest guest
People with liver disease cannot take a variety of drugs that are processed through the liver because their disease has caused their liver not to be able to handle it. Most of these RA drugs process through the liver and that is why your doctor is monitoring your liver closely. If they see your liver enzymes elevate they will either lower the drug or take you off of it for a while until your levels are back to normal. I wouldn't worry about it as long as you keep getting your regular bloodwork. They really do keep a close eye on that. As for me I can't take the biologics because I have lupus and RA and there is something with the biologics that could trigger the lupus. Sometimes I wish I just had RA and then life wouldn't be as complicated. I guess I have to be difficult. LOL > > and group > > I am a little confused why cathering can't take bioligics.
