Guest guest
Good morning everyone. I need some help here. I was diagnosed with RA in October of 2008. My rheumy started me on Humira. This Saturday will be my third dose (every 2 weeks). He started me on MTX (4 pills a week) and folic acid about a month before I started Humira. I've been really trying to attack RA head on and since December, I've been exercising every day, trying to lose weight (I've lost 21 lbs so far) and going to work and trying to live my normal life. I was starting to feel a lot better but about a week and a half ago I all of a sudden got SOOOOO much worse. I can hardly walk (but still have to get up and commute almost 2 hours each way to and from work) and I'm just miserable. I have an appt. with my rheumy next week (Tuesday) and will definitely discuss this with him. My question is - has this happened to anyone else? Does it get better? I'm so unhappy. I'm leaving Wednesday to go to Key West to see a friend who I haven't seen in 23 years. I know that most of what you do in Key West is walk. I don't want my whole trip ruined because of this. So, if anyone has any insight or anything they think might help me, please let me know. I'm desperate. Thank you and I hope everyone has a great (pain free) day. Guest guest
Is it warm to touch? If so then leave it off. If it appears to be spreading I would leave it off. I don't know anything about the helmets yet. But I don't think a 24 hr period of leaving it off would cause too much damage. If it concerns you that much just leave it off and call first thing Monday. I am sure the MD's would understand. And its not like the helmet is an emergency-must-leave-on-all-time-no-questions-asked sort of thing. So don't fret. Just listen to your mommy instincts. Besides even if you try to get her to sleep on her tummy she will probably turn over onto her back anyways. The last couple of days on the back of her neck (bottom of head) I have noticed some red spots. It's hard to tell cause she has a red birth mark and hair so I have been just keeping an eye on it. Well tonight it is very noticaly bright red. I cannot get a hold of anyone at the clinic until Monday so am not sure what I should do. Should I leave her helmet off tonight? She is a back sleeper should I try to get her to sleep on her tummy? Please help me I have a very tired screaming baby and dont know what I should do!!!
