I see GI next Friday, result will be in...he saw inflammation of the small bowel and I think the biopsies were taken from there

I was kept pretty comfortable during the colonoscopy procedure! I could hear everything that was going on....

During procedure and after I was given Oxygen...the first time I was ready to leave...I told the nurse, she goes to me you look sleepy to go downstairs and wait for you ride...so I was brought back to the waiting room

2nd) I'm ready to leave, so I was given the OK, I'm walking out the door and almost tripped and fell on the floor, so they brought a wheelchair back in the room I was

3rd) They told me you're not going anywhere until your ride is in front of the hospital and we'll take you personally, they kept on calling my brother-in-law if he was nearing the hospital....

With the pain, I don't know how long I will be suffering, losing weight...I've also developped fever this afternoon

as far as food, it will be a long time before I can eat again....

even though tried eating today, let's not even go there lol!

I ordered:

-Extra Large Pizza

-Mediterranean Salad

-Pop

-Hawaian Sandwich

everything is in the freezer.....who ever wants to come over and eat there's a lot of food to choose from....lol!

after colonoscopy procedure I was offered some juice, I refused it and I told the nurse I haven't eaten or drank anything since 27th of Jan and she told me straight in my face I should have been dead by now! Now that's not what you want to hear, when you feel like 50 wheeler has run over you.

She is home.

Colonoscopy went fine, biopsies sent off. They saw no significant

problems with Colon so can proceed with small intestine resection. Of

course they should be doing it tomorrow, but who knows how long it

will be. She sees GI later this week or early next, has referral to

surgeon and the unimaginable fact that she doesn't know how long

she'll have to continue in pain until the procedure is performed.

from the weight I lost.

How bizarre! They're worried about a ride but not keeping you in the hospital in your condition. They want to get rid of you Irene!

The only thing to do now is collapse on the floor and refuse to get up!! Pain...fever...and on and on. Great Heavens. I never heard of such stuff.

Irene,

I'm glad that's over and will keep praying that you get some relief soon. I have to say that as a nurse I find your situation completely inexplicable. I cannot begin to understand how this is allowed to happen. Is your bowel blocked? If it is that's an emergency situation requiring immediate surgery. Your weight loss worries me terribly. Not being able to eat and losing nearly 30 pounds in the last few weeks is dangerous. I don't understand how you are able to work. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I hope things get better for you soon.

Beth,

I work in pain and pray I don't collapse...I stopped looking for answers because I know I wouldn't find them. I just take it day by day. On the CT Scan it showed bowel thickening. The food goes in but does not come out. Swelling is so bad that it feels I'm carrying 2 extra small bowels. There's more days ahead with liquid diet...
