Guest guest
Cheli, The nasal spray does contain live virus, and I know that we who have RA or any other autoimmune disease should not have it. I don't know about your family, though. That would be a good question to ask your rheumatologist or the health department in your area. Or maybe someone else will have the answer for you tomorrow. Guest guest
Cheli, I was told by my Rhuematologist that he wanted me to get the vaccine... He told me I could only get the dead virus which is the shot... He also advised that anyone in my house getting vaccinated should get the dead (shot) vaccine also... However, its been my experience that each docs oppinion is and can be different. Bonnie > > > I'm not sure if this was posted already or not. Guest guest
I had a bad day. I got so tired I forgot to call my doctor. I'm going to tell them they need to get the shot and that's all they will give them. Lol. [ ] Re: H1N1 vaccine question Cheli, I was told by my Rhuematologist that he wanted me to get the vaccine... Guest guest
Cheli, The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) recommends that you get the shot in the arm (not the attenuated nasal vaccine). Those in your household should also get the inactivated vaccine (the shot in the arm). http://www.rheumatology.org/publications/hotline/2009_09_29_h1n1.asp Not an MD On Wed, Oct 28, 2009 at 10:39 PM, <hlhsinfo@...> wrote: > I'm going to try and call the flu Hotline and talk to them tomorrow before I go and stand in line all day. lol. > Cheli
