Guest guest
Bonnie- I have been on Rituxan for about 1.5 years now. They get easier as you go along. I was getting them every 3-4 months. ( They are supposed to last 6-12 months minimum.) But I havent had one for a year now- due to other illnesses- pneumonia, collapsed lung etc. But bottom line- they do get easier- Jill On Wed, Nov 26, 2008 at 9:44 AM, Bonnie <tiredtaz@...> wrote: > Well I had off work yesterday and received my first Rituxin > infusion... Guest guest
Glad to hear your infusion went well. How are you feeling now? When is your next one? Diane
Guest guest
Thanks for sharing this. My first infusion is next week and I was planning to drive myself home afterwards but it seems that may not be a good idea (my doctor is about 30-45 minutes away from my home). I'll alert work that I may not be able to make it in the following day as well. Guest guest
My infusions went very, very well, except for the initial severe reaction 90 minutes into (the first one). I broke out in hives, my throat started swelling and I felt like I had an instant head cold. They took me off of it for 15 minutes, was given enough benadryl to knock a horse out and then was able to continue. My RA doc prepared me for 2nd infusion with high dose prednisone & allergy meds 3 days prior to and one day after. Other than that, it was a breeze. I was tired the next day after each infusion but that was the extent of it. Good luck!! ltdavis_jrdavis@... > Well I had off work yesterday and received my first Rituxin > infusion... Ugh!
